My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Polo is a handsome 2-1/2 year old male Husky who was brought to the HSOV on March 3, 2024 by a Good Samaritan who had picked him up on State Route 26 in Washington County. Polo was accompanied by another male Husky (Marco). Apparently these two explorers were on an unauthorized expedition (unbeknownst to their family). Neither of the boys were wearing a collar, and they were not microchipped.

Polo has a tan-and-white thick medium haired coat, a long fluffy tail, and a beautiful face with pale blue eyes, a liver-colored nose, and large erect ears.

Thanks to HSOV Kennel Tech Cadince Bibbee for accompanying Polo and helping him with his photo session. Polo has a super friendly personality and is full of playful puppy-like energy.

Polo is the smaller of the duo and weighs 54.4 lbs.

Polo and Marco will be held for three days so that their family will have an opportunity to reclaim them with proof of ownership. Polo and Marco appear to be very bonded with each other. Surely someone is frantically searching for these majestic boys.

UPDATE: Surprisingly nobody called or came looking for Polo and Marco.

Marco went home with a foster family on March 23, 2024 who plans to adopt him after he is neutered. Marco was neutered on April 2, 2024 and was also given rabies vaccine.

Polo is still in our shelter and available for adoption.
