My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We welcome you, Mewlius Caesar. Mewlius Caesar is not just your average cat; he is a purrveyor of love and joy, ready to conquer your heart with his irresistible charm. But Mewlius isn't just about lounging on his throne of pillows; he's an adventurous spirit with a penchant for exploration. Whether he's surveying his kingdom from the highest vantage point or engaging in playful banter with his loyal subjects (that's you!), Mewlius knows how to make every moment count. As a hospice adoption, Mewlius Caesar understands the importance of companionship during life's final chapters. He seeks a kingdom where he can spend his golden years surrounded by love and tenderness, bringing joy and comfort to those who cherish him most. Come meet Mewlius Caesar today!

Additional adoption info

To adopt visit us at 1101 Western Ave, Pittsburgh PA 15233 during the Adoption Center Hours below.

Our adoption process is aimed at matching you, your family and your current pets with our animals for adoption. An adoption counselor (or volunteer) will introduce you to our animals in a private meeting room. We will share information about the animal's history and needs, behavior assessment and any volunteer / staff comments.

When you find the right pet for you and your family, the adoption counselor will assist you in completing the proper paperwork. This process includes signing an adoption contract, reviewing medical history and providing proper pet care information. This process takes approximately 30 minutes to complete.

What you will need in order to adopt:

A valid PA state ID with your current address.

We recommend all members of the household meeting the animal before adopting.

If you are interested in adopting a dog and have other dog(s) living in your household, it is recommended that all dogs meet each other at the shelter.

Certain animals require additional steps.

Adoption fee is accepted in cash or credit/debit card. Checks, American Express and Discover are not accepted as payment.

PLEASE NOTE: We are not able to hold or accept a deposit for animals. Adoptions are approved for the first qualified home.
