Kiara was brought in by a community member on February 14, 2024.

Meet Kiara, a charming canine who found her way to us as a stray. While her past remains unknown, one thing is clear: Kiara is a dog who enjoys human connection. She's a social butterfly who adores attention, happily resting her head on your lap for pets. However, Kiara can be reactive towards other dogs, so she's seeking a forever home where she can reign as the sole furry companion. Her exuberance sometimes translates into jumps of excitement, so a household without young children would be ideal; it's not super common, and she has done well with ten and twelve year old's in her foster home! Nevertheless, Kiara's zest for life is infectious -she loves to frolic and play fetch, and she's a smart girl who will sit for treats and can't wait to learn more tricks! Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized.
