If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
I adopted Lucy about 6 years ago, making her around 8 or 9 years old, from an adoption agency and she got along with my other cats just fine for about 2 or 3 years. I came home one day top her hiding and displaying fearful behavior and ever since, she's been extremely fearful of the other cats. She mostly just hisses and hides from them though, and is not an aggressive cat by any means.
Lucy is a very sweet, loving cat and she LOVES having her butt scratched (though she will let you know when enough is enough.) She's been really good with kids and has more or less gotten along with other cats that mind their own business, though I believe she would be happier in a single cat home.
She currently does need a high walled litter box, which I can provide, due to the stress giving her stomach issues. The only other health issue she has is teeth related and she has had teeth removed, but her latest checkup had gone well.
