Meet Duke, a lively and playful young fellow who`s just 7 months old. From our volunteer observations, Duke seems to have a high energy level and is quite a love-bug. In his puppy-like excitement, he may jump and bark for attention, but he calms down quickly and enjoys a good walk where he can sniff around and explore. Duke has a dainty and gentle playgroup style and has exhibited signs of social behavior, often looking up for approval after a good sniff or a treat. He`s still learning to take treats more gently, but he`s a fast learner who already knows how to sit on command. Duke may be a little timid at first, but he tends to open up with time, occasionally socializing with other dogs.

Come visit us and meet our wonderful adoptable pets! All adoptions are first come, first serve. All pets in the shelter must be adopted in person at 1818 North Westmoreland Road.

You must be 18 years-old to adopt a pet.

When picking up your new pet, please bring your driver’s license or other government-issued photo ID.
