My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We were so hopeful that Fendi would be able to be reunited with her loving mom after her puppies were weaned from her, but due to unfortunate breed bias within housing and city services, Fendi had to be surrendered fully to our care and were now looking for a foster or foster to adopt home for her. Fendi did a wonderful job raising her babies, but now that theyre grown up, its time for us to let Fendi spread her wings and learn more about what she needs in a family on her own. Were looking for a dedicated foster or foster to adopt home for our sweet Fendi lady to host her for the next couple of weeks while she dries up her milk and gets ready for her spay surgery. Fendi would do best in an only dog household as she gets stressed with certain other dogs. She enjoys play time and structure. She is very loyal and enjoys a good cuddle. Fendi needs a foster or foster to adopt family that can give her lots of the one-on-one attention that she craves. She prefers calm, quiet dogs as companions which is why we think she would be best in an only dog household. She loves walks, and is adjusting well to being in a crate. Do you know someone who would be willing to give our sweet momma a safe place to rest while we find her her forever home? If you are interested in fostering Fendi please email foster@chicagorescueauthority.org or fill out a foster application here. If you are interested in adopting Fendi please click thehttps://chicagorescueauthority.org/dog-adoption/ Fendi is also accepting applications outside our radius for the right home. If you are selected for Fendi, we do not transport and we do require out adopters to meet and finalize on her adoption in Chicago. If you are viewing from adopt-a-pet to be considered a potential home for this dog please head to our website www.chicagorescueauthority.org and click on our adopt tab to apply directly!

Additional adoption info

Every dog is different: personality, temperament, energy, comfort with kids and other animals, medical needs and more. We take all these factors into consideration when making a forever-home match. We are careful about the placements we make. We do our best to match the right dog with the right adoptive home because we want this to be the pet’s permanent home. These steps ensure that we have all the information needed to make the best placement for you or your family.

More about this rescue

At Chicago Rescue Authority, our mission is to create a compassionate world where every animal is treated with love, respect, and dignity. We are dedicated to educating the public about the adverse realities of the mass-production industry for puppies, raising awareness about responsible pet adoption and ownership, and actively working towards reducing the overpopulation of dogs in shelters.

Our promise to Chicago is to build our rescue on the tenets of teamwork, education and compassion. We will listen to the concerns and ideas of those around us and be ready to grow alongside this rescue and this mission.

Volunteers, fosters, donors and adopters will be the backbone of this organization, just like every other animal welfare non-profit. We will be hosting a variety of fundraisers and mixers throughout the year aimed at building our support network. We can’t wait to meet all the animals whose lives we are going to change!
