My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Melonie loves other dogs! She really loves playing with her friends at the shelter. She's not as sure about people, but she's come a long way since arriving at the shelter. She'll need someone who is patient and kind and has lots of treats.

Additional adoption info

After applying for an adoptable animal we screen all adopters via application, phone interview and meet/greet. Once that has gone through we will schedule a home visit to ensure everyone is happy with their decision.
If the home visit goes well and the adopter wants to move forward we will leave the pet in their possession and allow them to "foster" for up to two weeks to make their final decision. If the decision is to adopt, we will finalize paperwork, collect the adoption fee, and transfer all information to the new adopters.
