My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Looking for a wonderful addition to your family?!?!? Look no further than Andre!  He is about 9 months old and learning nicely. He knows his name and "sit." We are working on paw. He is good with other dogs, has met numerous dogs on walks and I have socialized him with my parents and friends dogs. He loves to play with his new fur friends.  He lives with me and my German shepherd and hound mix (both big males) and has integrated into our daily routine.  We do have a cat in the basement which he seems to take an interest in but has not meant to face to face, so I can’t speak fully on how he would be with cats.

He is almost 100% house-trained, as long as he sticks to a routine. He is also crate-trained and sleeps through the night. He needs a little training on the leash as he pulls a bit but his foster family is working with him.

His foster family says, "Andre is very treat and food motivated. For those who don’t know Andre's story, he and his siblings were found as puppies in what looked like a junkyard to fend for themselves. He does get protective with his bones (not with humans, only with my other male dogs), which we are working on. He loves bones and to chew but hasn’t chewed anything in the house. I feel he would be great with an active person who loves to run. He loves to be in your lap though and would also sleep through the night snuggled up with his forever family in bed."

Additional adoption info

We at Pibbles & More rescue animals from many situations. May it be from a shelter, bad home, or an unwanted furbaby... Once the animal is in our rescue they get the best treatment, care, love & training we can supply... So we work hard at finding the RIGHT family & home for our rescued babies. There is an adoption application that will need to be filled out, along with a home visit, vet check, personal references & an adoption donation... This fee varies from dog to dog. All our rescued animals are on flea/HW preventive Utd on shots and spayed or neutered... also all our animals are in foster care so this way we know the right home for each of our Furbabies.
