Meet Achilles! Like so many innocent pups, Achilles was going to be euthanized at the Coachella Shelter because there’s no space. This sweet 11 months old pup was surrendered to the shelter because his family was “moving” and didn’t want him anymore. Sadly, his story is one we hear all the time and we are so sick of it. He lived at the shelter for over 3 months, patiently waiting for someone to save him. Dooms day arrived for him to be euthanized and we saved him in the knick of time. We didn’t want to see another special pup die because of irresponsible people. He’s been in an amazing foster home who has been giving him endless love while he decompresses from shelter life.
This Doberman Pinscher Mix is as dreamy as it gets. Achilles is remarkably well adjusted to his new foster home where he’s been described as “happy, loving and energetic”. He loves his foster sister and they instantly became best friends. He loves to cuddle on the sofa with his humans and foster sister. At night, he’s been sleeping peacefully in the bed with his foster parents.
When he’s not lounging, he loves to play with toys, go for walks around the neighborhood and car rides. He walks perfectly on a leash which is a huge bonus. When his fosters aren’t home, he is totally content being in his crate.
Achilles would be the perfect companion for all different kinds of households. His foster says that “whoever is his forever family will be very very lucky to get him.”
