You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Are you loyal, driven, motivated, optimistic, and like to have a good time? So is Rocky! He may be your soulmate! Rocky was un-familied twice in his 7-year life. He craves a companion who won’t do that to him again. He needs to be someone’s sidekick. He loves people and has never met a stranger. He enjoys a car ride, and a nice long walk. His fave snack seems to be beef jerky, but he’s happy to try your other foods, too. He’s crate-trained and potty-trained and lives well in a home.
He doesn’t mind dogs in public and is not reactive, but can’t live with other dogs as he get a bit guardy around them and starts fights. He also has high prey drive and can’t live with small animals or cats. He has met my horse and goats and has been fine, so could likely live around large animals after supervised introductions.

HCHS is 100% foster and volunteer based (no staff, no employees). All animals for adoption are in foster homes and can be seen by appointment suitable to your schedule. Our volunteers may be able to help with local transportation. Save a life! ~ADOPT~
