Meet Ramsey, a one year old 40ish pound hound mix who just finished up a two week board and train with Bark Avenue and did so well! He is a smart active boy who would love a family to love and go for walks with. He is potty and kennel trained. Ramsey has done well with other dogs of all sizes and did great at daycare at Bark Avenue. Older children would probably be better for Ramsey as he is still learning not to mouth hands. Chew toys and stuffed squeaky animals are favorites as well as curling up for a good snuggle. No cats please. they get him too excited. HIs adoption fee is $250. Senior dogs, at our discretion, are adopted out at $150 per dog because we know they will have less time with your family and may eventually have more needs as they get older. But we feel these dogs deserve to live out the rest of their lives as part of a loving family.

Forever Home Dog Rescue is dedicated to rescuing homeless and abandoned animals primarily from high-kill shelters.
In working with committed volunteers, temporary care homes and local veterinarians, we are able to rescue dogs, provide them with loving temporary care, and find them well-matched, carefully screened forever homes. All our rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and have all necessary veterinary care.
We were formed in January 2014 and are a non-profit organization in central Iowa. We are pending our official 501c3 status. We receive no government funding and rely completely on donations.
