Meet Susie
PLEASE NOTE- AN APPLICATION FROM THE WEBSITE ALMOSTHOMEDOGS.ORG IS REQUIRED prior to any meet and greet. Calling, emailing and using the “contact us” link is not useful and will delay your consideration in the adoption of the dog. Petfinder inquires are not sent to us.
Beautiful Susie is a sweet, fun-loving doodle girl who has been showing off both her playful and her brainy sides to her foster family. Currently fostered in a home with multiple dogs, Susie gets along well with all of them - young or old, big or small, male or female. She loves her people and enjoys a good snuggle on the sofa after a good romp in the yard. She dispenses kisses readily. Both housetrained and crate trained, Susie has shown no bad habits in her foster home (no nuisance barking, no chewing unauthorized things, no stealing of socks,
doesn’t jump up) and has quickly become a favorite in her foster home. She takes treats gently and is food motivated, making her very easy to train. Her poodle smarts helped her learn “sit” in just a couple of tries. Hasn’t been cat tested. Did well on a leash when meeting kids, but it’s unknown if she has ever lived with children.

The adoption fee is $425, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including age appropriate vaccinations, worming, flea/tick preventative and spay/neuter. All of our dogs will be microchipped.
Because our dogs are in foster homes, applications are required prior to setting up any appointments. Calling or emailing may delay your consideration. Find our application on our website, almosthomedogs.org, then click on "Adopt" tab at top
We are a non profit no kill 501 (c)3 rescue. Please understand that we do our best to describe our dogs but often we rescue them with virtually no information about them and often our best educated guess can be challenging. Currently check, cash or venmo is preferred payment.
