My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi everyone! I'm an American Pit Bull Terrier boy who came into the shelter in December! My friends are still getting to know me more, but so far I'm a very happy and smiley boy, who likes to get head scratches and treats! I'm a bigger boy with a pretty big head, so someone who would be able to handle my leash confidently and with authority is important, but I listen to commands very well and I'm very good on a leash! I'm hoping to find a home with someone who will love to play with toys with me and also give me lots of cuddles. If you would like to meet me, please call my friends at the shelter to schedule an appointment! Thank you!

More about this shelter

The San Gabriel Valley Humane Society (SGVHS) was founded by Fannie Thompson Kessler in 1924.

For almost 100 years, the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society has provided a variety of services to the local communities. Currently we serve the cities of San Gabriel, Temple City and Duarte.

We provide food, shelter and medical care to hundreds of dogs and cats who are stray and homeless, or have been rescued from abusive conditions or relinquished by their owners.

Please consider giving one of our animals a forever home. If you’re looking to adopt a life-long furry companion, we invite you to visit our Shelter!
