My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Domingo, the purrfect blend of sweet and shy! This charming feline is like a mystery waiting to be unraveled, always finding cozy hiding spots but secretly craving cuddles and affection. His favorite pastime? Snuggling up with his best pal Giamatti, proving that friendship knows no bounds in the feline world.

Despite his initial shyness, Domingo's heart is as big as his appetite for Friskie's dry food! He's a gentle soul who thrives in the company of other cats, especially when it means cozying up with Giamatti for a nap or a play session. With his endearing personality and adorable quirks, Domingo is sure to bring joy and warmth to any home lucky enough to welcome him.

If you're ready to add a furry friend to your family, consider giving Domingo a forever home! Whether you fill out an adoption application on our website or stop by the shelter to meet him in person, you'll quickly discover why Domingo is truly one of a kind. Get ready to embark on countless adventures and endless cuddles with this lovable ball of fur!

More about this shelter

The Humane Society of Greater Dayton is proud to be a no-kill animal welfare agency. We are committed to finding great homes for great pets! As a 501(c)(3) nonproft, we receive no government funding and rely solely on donations from individuals, companies and grants to fund our programs and services. We are not affiliated with any other animal agency on a local, state or national level. Since 1902, our organization has been devoted to being a voice for the voiceless. Although we proudly find more than 2,000 animals forever homes every year, we are far more than an adoption center. We currently have a wide array of programs to support animals in our community. Through our high-volume spay and neuter clinic, we are able to help pet owners as well as battle cat overpopulation through Trap-Neuter-Return. Our humane society agents also work tirelessly to protect pets from cruel and neglectful circumstances through our Cruelty & Neglect Investigations Department. Through our Veterinary Hospital, we can provide top-quality access to veterinary care at a low cost to pet owners. In addition to our many programs, our organization is unique because we are the only agency in the community able to handle all types of animals. This includes cats and dogs but also rabbits, birds, farm animals, pocket pets and exotics. Our organization is committed to providing our community, our state and our region with support and care.
