Louie, is a stunningly handsome red golden retriever! Louie is looking for that perfect PNW fairly tale - a home and a family to call his own!!

Louie arrived a bit timid after being released from life as a breeding sire. He has settled in with his foster family, plays well with others, is fully housetrained and ready to find his forever family!

We believe Louie would do best in a home with another dog who can show him the ropes of being a beloved pet and how good life can be!

Louie is about 5-1/2 years young, so beautiful and with so much life ahead of him. Louie has been neutered, has had a dental cleaning, is up to date on vaccinations and just needs you!

Like all our large and herding breeds we prefer a yard with minimum 5' high fence.

More about this rescue

We are a committed group of dog lovers who have decades of experience in dog rescue, volunteering at animal shelters and owning rescue dogs. Most recently, our two founders, have been working with rescuing dogs from Mexico and the Asian dog meat trade as well as California kill shelters, Midwest puppy mill breeder releases and rehoming owner surrendered dogs in Washington and Oregon.

Deciding that we are able to rescue more by combining forces, Pacific Rim Rescue was formed. Our mission is to rescue dogs from devastating conditions from countries of the Pacific Rim.

We are committed to providing foster homes, veterinary and behavioral training for these dogs, so that they may live happy and fulfilling lives in their forever homes.
