Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Darla is not just any dog – she's a bright-eyed, golden hound mix with a heart as big as her beautiful blue eyes! At about a year old, Darla found herself abandoned at a house, but her spirit remained unbroken, and her love for people shines through brighter than ever. If you're searching for a loving and energetic companion to join you on all of life's adventures, look no further than Darla. This sweet golden hound mix is ready to bring sunshine into your home and fill your days with joy and laughter. Don't miss out on the opportunity to make Darla a cherished member of your family – adopt her today and get ready for a lifetime of love, companionship, and unforgettable memories! Apply at heberspringshumanesociety.com
Darla’s adoption fee is $100.00 and includes first shots, worming, and sterilization. Optional microchipping and registration is available for an additional $20.00. Please fill out an adoption application at heberspringshumanesociety.com and a volunteer will contact you. The adoption application is NOT on Adopt a Pet. You must apply on our Heber Springs Humane Society website.

More about this shelter
Our orginzation was founded by Doug Bakko. Funds were raised to build the original shelter on land donated. The shelter has since been expanded using donations and fund raisers. We are the only Shelter in Cleburne County. Our operating funds come from our Thrift Shop, donations, fund raisers and some assistance from the city of Heber Springs, surrounding towns in Cleburne County. We work very hard keeping animals happy and healthy. We do this because we love animals and want to give them a safe haven and every chance possible to go to a loving home.
