Chance was rescued off Mendota Road Bristol Va We’re pretty confident he was dumped out here. He was running the streets for at least a month and a half, possibly longer during the coldest days of the year. I say he went from “streets to sheets” He loves to snuggle and play with toys. He’s great at playing catch. Hes neutered, vaccinated, micro chipped, and heartworm negative. He does wonderful with our female puppy and male border collie mix. We are making progress with his socialization with our Great Pyrenees. He’s potty trained, knows sit, shake and down. We’ve been practicing “wait” at the door. We’ve been desensitizing him to his crate by feeding him in it. Vet says he’s probably a little over a year old. He seems gentle with our cats but we’ve only let him interact while on leash.
Chance needs:
- A patient and understanding family willing to help him adjust to his new home.
- A safe and secure environment where he can flourish and feel loved.
- Regular exercise and playtime to keep him happy and healthy.
Let's give Chance the second CHANCE he truly deserves!

We welcome all adopters, all experience of ownership levels, all ages above 21 years old for primary adopters, but most of all....everyone who has love to give and a home to share! There is a required adoption application so that we can make sure this is a good match for both the humans and the dog, and upon adoption approval, there is a contract. The adoption fee covers the pet's animal shelter release fee, vet check, spay or neuter, shots, heartworm test, vet records, leash, collar and transport. The fee slightly varies depending on vet needs for each individual

We are a registered non-profit animal rescue group with our 501-c3 status. We are a group of dedicated volunteers whose goal is to reduce euthanasia in kill shelters of highly adoptable animals by placing them into loving homes. We spay/neuter our animals in order to save lives. We love animals and every adoptable animal deserves a chance at a better life.
