My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ron has been a joy to foster and take care of! He started out his first 2 days as timid and very nervous, but in no time was happy-go-lucky, running around, and used to his surroundings. He is a VERY quick learner, he learned how to go up and down the stairs very quickly, learned how to respond to his name quickly (we called him Boone), and is even beginning to understand sit. He is very gentle in nature, very very cuddly (made a great cuddle buddy), and sleeps through the night. He has a really calm demeanor for a puppy, but still loves to play, especially when another dog is involved! He LOVES people and LOVES attention, almost too much, as he does suffer from some separation anxiety haha. He does not like to be left alone for too long and would prefer to be where everyone else is in the house. He is fairly good at using the bathroom on the puppy pads, but does go potty frequently (he pees about 10 times a day!) If you’re good about taking him outside, he will use the bathroom outside, but if you leave him inside for long periods of time there’s a chance he might miss the pads every now and then. He is familiar with being in the crate but not fully crate trained. He is great on walks and on a leash! This dog would be perfect for a family with kids that would give him plenty of love and attention! Or for a home where there are people in the house the majority of the day (retired, work from home, etc). Ron is as sweet as can be, absolutely adorable, and I will miss him dearly when he does get adopted!

Are you interested in adopting Ron or another JCAPL pet you have seen? You'll need to start by completing an adoption application, available online at our website: www.jcapl.org. There is no obligation to adopt by completing an application, however, we do recommend submitting an application as soon as you find an animal you are interested in. We review applications in the order they are received.

Completed applications can be sent via email to help@jcapl.org, faxed to 919-300-5524, or delivered in person by visiting us at one of our adoption events on Saturdays at PetSmart in Garner (White Oak Shopping Center).

We will contact you as soon as possible once we receive your application for Ron.

Thanks for thinking adoption!
