Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Axel
Terrier Mix
Male
1 year old
12 lbs.
Meet Axel, an adorable puppy who is ready to settle into his own forever home. Axel's puppy antics and boundless energy make him a delightful companion who's always ready for a new adventure.
Axel may start off a bit shy, but once he warms up, he's a delightful and affectionate buddy. Axel is quite the social butterfly and enjoys playing with other dogs. Axel thrives in the company of another playful and confident canine companion, making this a must-have in his new home. Although he's a chewer, Axel is learning to channel his energy with lots of chew toys. He's a curious pup who loves to explore, so keeping him mentally stimulated with toys and activities is key to his happiness!
Axel hasn't had the chance to meet cats or children yet, so proper introductions and a respectful approach to his space and boundaries are key. Axel has plenty of puppy energy, so a family willing to partake in puppy antics and adventures is a must! As a young pup, Axel is eagerly mastering basic commands and the art of potty training. With each passing day, he's becoming more confident and capable, but he needs a family committed to helping him achieve success in these areas.
PawsCo loves to remind adopters that puppies are SO adorable, but they are also a lot of work! And "puppyhood" can last for 1-2 years. They are similar to having a human toddler and they need a ton of patience, positive reinforcement training and tons of love. A puppy his age is still working on potty training, puppy “mouthing” during play, learning what to chew and what not to chew, and other typical puppy behaviors. An adopter should be fully prepared to register for puppy socialization classes at a local training facility (positive reinforcement training only!) and/or a commitment to learning positive training techniques to help support them as training and socialization are vital for a pup his age!
If you're ready to open your heart and home to this cutie, Axel is eager to join your family and fill your days with tail wags and cuddles! He's looking for a family that will continue to guide him with patience and love as he grows into the best dog he can be!
