Hi I’m Jefferson! I’m a great boy but unfortunately my first family isn’t working out. I’m just 9 months old and at that age were I could really use some manners training and self control training. If you’re willing to work with me I promise I’ll be worth it! I love other dogs and I love being with people. I love hanging out on the couch and snuggling! I can play a little rough so I might be best if I didn’t live full time with really young kids or cats right now. I don’t mean to hurt anyone but I haven’t been taught yet not to use my mouth when I play with them. SDRD is a state licensed 501(c)3 non-profit no kill dog rescue and group foster home located in Topeka, KS.

It is our goal to network with other local rescues and shelters to save dogs that are at risk for being euthanized due to lack of space.

We are committed to educating the public on responsible pet ownership, the importance of spaying and neutering, along with the dangers of purchasing a dog from a pet store or puppy mill.
