My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

North Texas Cat Rescue P.O Box 1504 McKinney, TX 75070 214.454.9395 www.northtexascatrescue.com

We have a bit of an unusual situation; we have a bonded trio of cats. We’re fairly certain that Peychaud is the dad to Skye and Whiskey. They were all dumped outside where a really nice lady trapped them and had them fixed. Thankfully, we were able to help and got them inside before a cold front hit. They are all sweet, but are shy at first. Peychaud is the biggest of the 3 kitties and very sweet!! He has adjusted really well to being indoors only. He has excellent litter box manners and uses a scratching post well. These 3 babies were definitely someone’s pets at one time, but for some unknown reason, they were dumped and left to fend for themselves. They are great with other cats and are tolerant of dogs. We do not believe they will do well in a home with small children as they prefer a quiet environment. If you’re interested in meeting them, please fill out an application on NTCR’s website. Please note, we do not adopt out-of-state and as they are a bonded trio, most apartment complexes have a 2-pet maximum.

Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Please contact NTCR AT 214.454.9395 should you have any concerns or questions.

Please note: We appreciate all interest in our cats and kittens, but we are an all volunteer organization. Please be patient with regard to a call back. Should you need to surrender the cat you adopted from NTCR, please email us at surrenderNTCRcat@northtexascatrescue.com.

More about this rescue

North Texas Cat Rescue (NTCR) is a 501(c)(3) organization committed to the humane and compassionate treatment of cats.

Our Mission:

To provide adoption and placement of homeless rescued cats/kittens in permanent homes.
To educate the public on the need to spay/neuter pets, on the prevention of animal cruelty and promote responsible pet ownership.

NTCR Programs

Foster care and adoption programs

NTCR takes in cats/kittens from Collin County Animal Shelter, rescues abandoned felines from other locations and cats surrendered by owners to the extent of our resources and of foster home availability. NTCR places the cats/kittens in foster care for re-socializing, regularly running adoption days at Petsmart in Allen and managing the permanent adoption center, Luv-A-Pet , inside Petsmart in Allen. We also post our adoptable cats on Petfinder.com, Adopt-a-pet.com. Facebook and on our website.

Working with Animal Shelter Services

NTCR works primarily with Collin CountyAnimal Shelter Services. We appreciate their hard work. To the extent of our resources, we do our best to take in our system cats/kittens that are injured , too young to survive on their own, pregnant/nursing mother cats etc… foster them, vet them and place them through our adoption program in loving permanent home.
Spay/neuter public education

We firmly believe in educating and assisting the public about the need to spay/neuter their pets. NTCR works with Texas Coalition for Animal Protection to assist those in need of finding a low cost clinic and a low cost source for spay/neuter. We hope, in the future, to help low-income and fixed income families have their pets fixed at no charge .
