This is sweet Paxton! He had mange and was left out on the streets to fend for himself. Now that he's in a foster home he's BLOSSOMED and he's the best boy!
Words from Paxon:
Where do I begin, well it all started when I was abandoned at an apartment complex. I spent countless weeks alone, in the dark and in the heat. I trusted from a distance those who would leave food and water for me. You see, no one wanted to get close to me as I had mange. I was not feeling well, I was hungry, and I was tired as I didn’t have a place to call home to feel safe. UNTIL... that wonderful day when I was rescued, and I was on my way to recovery.
I have received a clean bill of health from the vet and I am ready to live the rest of my life wagging my tail to the right family!
So first, I am a black dog, I am not a cute little dog, those seem to get adopted quickly.
So, I have to make up with my personality and behaviors.
So here it goes:
I am crate trained.
I am house trained.
Super friendly!
Get along with small children.
I like other dogs!
I am very loving and now happy.
I have lots of love and energy.
I am doing well walking on a leash.
Shall I go on?
I love people and other dogs. We have a great time playing. I am a little shy with new human males, but with a bit of time I warm up.
Did I mention how handsome I am now that I have cleaned up? You know the saying; oh, "you clean up nicely"… that’s ME!
I have been with fosters for over 6 months and even though I love it, I would really love to have my forever home. Will you pick me?
Pawcerely,
Paxton
