My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This 1 1/2 year old young man has overcome a lot in a short amount of time. He was found in bad shape on the streets of Ensenada, suffering from mange and defeat. He has been given BRAVECTO which kills the skin mite and his fur is slowly returning and his scratching has subsided MAX is approximately 30 pounds, vaccinated and neutered. He has blossomed in each foster home he has stayed in and displayed excellent behavior towards all people, other dogs and cats Cat friendly pups are always a challenge to find and this young man has impressed us with all of his amiable traits, he learned to sit and shake very quickly… those cute little ears only want to listen and please his care givers If you think this young man would be a match for your family please message me to learn more about meeting MAX. If we are adopting out a dog who has been trained the adopter must agree to one training session the day they adopt the dog (coming home). If we decide additional training sessions will be needed we will advise the adopter prior to adoption.

More about this rescue

We are a veteran-run dog rescue based in San Diego, California. Our goal is to change the rescue world. We adopt our dogs to any loving and qualified homes, but we also provide ESAs for military veterans. With The Heroic Tail’s model, we are not only able to rescue dogs from high-kill shelters who happen to be at the wrong place at the wrong time, but we are also able to help the dogs deemed “unadoptable” and give them a better chance at a happy and healthy life!
