My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Available for Adoption

Hi there, I'm Brodie! I am a 1 year old male, who is full size at 35 pounds. My previous family ran a DNA test so we know that I am a Cattle Dog/Chihuahua mix with a dash of Coonhound and Brittany Spaniel. That explains a lot because I love to run and play! I have all the personality traits of a Heeler with the short legs of a Chihuahua. I am very social and love making new human or canine friends. I would love a home with another dog to play with! I also have great indoor manners and I will happily go into my kennel, especially if there are treats involved. I do wonderfully on a leash and get super excited when I see it brought out for walks. At the end of the day I love to sit on the couch beside you and rest on your lap. Adopting me means gaining a loyal friend who will always be there for you through thick and thin. I promise to make you laugh with my goofy side, and comfort you with my cuddly nature. I know that my perfect family is out there!

You're welcome to email my foster home with any questions at julianshumate@gmail.com. To meet or adopt me you must first fill out an application here: https://humanesocietyofwilkes.org/adopt/application/julians. To ensure your application was received, please email the foster home. You can expect an email response within a week of applying.
