My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Podrick is nine-year-old hound/mutt who is sweet, but loves his quiet and routines, something that is now hard to come by with two small children in the home.

We adopted him from a local shelter in 2016 and was the perfect dog for us in that stage of life. We worked on his training quite a bit in the first 2-3 years we had him and that helped him with leash manners and managing anxiety.

He does still struggle with anxiety, so the perfect home for him has no other pets, no small children, and preferably has someone at home most of the day, though he does fine with being kenneled for a long morning or long afternoon of errands.

He sleeps in his kennel at night.

He loves to keep you company and is slowing down in his older age, but still would enjoy a short walk or playing with some heavy duty toys (he is a power chewer, so we typically opt for bones, antlers, or hard nylon toys).

He is smart and determined, and a master counter surfer, but a loyal companion.
