My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey, Benson here! I'm a laid-back and chill brown and black male cat who is looking for my forever home. I'm currently 2 years old, so I'm beyond my kittenish mischief and I'm ready to settle down and find my forever family. One thing about me is that I'm very easygoing and get along well with other cats. I'm gentle and respectful of my feline friends, and I always love to share my space and toys with them. I'd be a great companion for someone who already has a cat and is looking for a companion for them. I also love people and enjoy spending time with my humans. While I love to be petted and receive plenty of attention, I'm also content to just hang out and watch the world go by. In fact, I'm a pretty laid-back cat in general and don't require a lot of stimulation or playtime - I'm happy just to be near my family and nap in a cozy spot. Overall, I'm a sweet and gentle cat who would be a great addition to any family. If you're looking for a furry companion who's already past their kitten years and is ready to snuggle down with you, then I'm your guy. Come meet me and see if we're a purrfect match! More about this rescue

Friends of Rescue Animals (FRAs) is a 501(c)(3) all volunteer non-profit organization.  FRAs was founded in 2004 and started off with 4 volunteers that wanted to support the Rowlett Animal Shelter.

Our organization has grown to 400 volunteers supporting both the Rowlett Animal Shelter and the Garland Animal Shelter. With this growth now we are able to host multiple off-site adoption events, sponsor heartworm treatments program, operate our own cat rescue program, and so much more!
