Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

Come to the Shelter and select a pet.

2.

Sign Adoption Contract

Review and sign necessary adoption contracts

3.

Pay Fee

In city limits $5 registration for sterilized pet, $10 for non-sterilized, + $5 adoption fee. 50% off registration fee for senior citizens.

4.

Pay Fee

$25 deposit if pet is not sterilized plus pre-paid rabies if pet has not been vaccinated.

5.

Take the Pet Home

We are the City of Shawnee Oklahoma Animal Welfare Shelter. We are a division of the Shawnee Police Department and are responsible for animal welfare service in the city limits of Shawnee Okla. Our Animal Welfare Officers operate the shelter, conduct adoptions, rescue strays and investigate cruelty/neglect and bite cases.
