My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chance is a gorgeous 2-3 year old Shepherd/Black Lab mix. He has the lanky build of a shepherd but seems to have more of a lab head. He is neutered and current on vaccinations and about the luckiest dog on earth. Several months ago, Chance was brought into a local, high kill shelter with a SEVERELY imbedded collar which you can see in his last picture. It was the worse the shelter staff had ever seen and it had to be surgically removed. Although this boy had probably not felt a kind hand in his life, the shelter staff was amazed at how quickly he came out of his shell. Lucky for him, a local rescue person was notified about him and she rescued him the day before he was to be put down. Chance has come a long way in the few months that he has been in foster care. He does well with other dogs and is good with cats in the house. He does have a high prey drive and will go after anything he sees outside. He is an active boy who needs someone that wants or is used to an active dog. He is extremely smart and would benefit well from obedience training. He has proven himself to be an escape artist so we think he would do best with a big yard and 6 ft privacy fence. This boy has come a long way, is completely healed, and it is now time for him to find his forever family. Please email us if you are interested in making Chance a happy dog for the rest of his life.
