Why I need a new home

Behavioral issues

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I adopted Socks in December of 2021 from the Humane Society of the Black Hills in Rapid City, SD. She was a stray, and it's suspected that she went through abuse from whoever she was with. She was 7 months old when I got her, and her estimated birthday is May 16, 2021. She is a mutt. Socks is a sweet dog, but she struggles with severe separation anxiety. She will bark when left alone (if there is another dog in the household, she's less likely to bark), she is partially housetrained, but because of her anxiety, she has a lot of accidents inside, so she's best being somewhere where she can be an outdoor dog. It is suggested to kennel her when left alone, as she will destroy things. She is not aggressive at all, and gets along with children and other animals. She loves to snuggle, and she is a couch potato. I unfortunately can not take care of her any longer due to her behavioral issues. I live in an apartment, and it's not the best environment for her.
