Here's what the humans have to say about me:

When this poor little gal wandered up to someone's house as a stray and no owner could be found, Souffle was taken in by a rescuer. She will be heading soon to NorthStar Pet Rescue to find a permanent home. She was quite neglected in her previous home but she has seen the vet and begun treatment for dry eye and her infected ears. She will also be getting a dental & any other vetting she needs to feel better! She was such a trooper throughout her vetting - we were all impressed at her sweet personality.

Souffle is about 14 years old and weighs under 17 pounds. She is housebroken and loves to go for car rides! She does fine in a crate or an inside pen. And as you can see in the video, she's a champion leash walker! Her favorite activity is sitting in your lap. This gal is a big-time snuffler!

The first step is to submit an adoption application at www.northstarpets.org. Volunteers will process your application. Please be patient!

Home Check

In a very very small number of situations, a home check may be needed if we have any questions or concerns after processing the application.

Meet the Pet

A meet and greet will be arranged for approved applicants with you and your entire family including your current pets.

Adoption fees:
Adult Dog: 375.00
Senior Dog: 200.00
Puppy: 375.00 + 100.00 refundable spay/neuter deposit
All adopters must complete application and be approved by the rescue.

In many areas of the country, especially in the South, the situation for animals is desperate: Chained outside and starving, homeless and running loose, or just simply no longer wanted and abandoned in an overburdened and underfunded facility that can’t possibly take another. NorthStar Pet Rescue was founded in 2017, and although we might be a relatively new name among New Jersey animal rescues, you may recognize some of us from the work we’ve done volunteering with other rescues to help animals over the past decade. We are 100% dedicated to operating in an safe, transparent, and ethical manner and to ensuring the best veterinary practices are followed with regards to the care and transport of our animals.
