Meet Obi! Obi is a lovely cat who warms up easily to new friends. He doesn’t ask for much much to be happy and cozy, so long as his favorite people are nearby!
Obi loves to get pets and chin scratches, and in return, he’ll give you affectionate head boops and purr soothingly. He’s also a social eater, so he even prefers to make sure you’re around when he eats his meals!
In a previous home, Obi was reported to do well with other cats, dogs and children. He’s a very sweet and gentle guy and would groom the other cats in the home. He’d likely do well in most homes, so long as there’s someone he can love on!
Adopters should know that while in foster care, Obi has been diagnosed with feline asthma. This is a relatively common condition where the airways in the lungs become inflamed due to various stimuli from an allergic reaction. Most cats with feline asthma live a normal lifespan and have a good quality of life. Obi’s clinical signs are currently mild and are managed with the administration of an oral steroid. In the future, his coughing and other asthma symptoms may potentially be reduced by maintaining him at a healthy weight and reducing the level of possible environmental triggers. Our Adoption Team would be happy to share more information about Obi’s medical history and future care.
This loyal guy can’t wait to meet you and relax by your side! If you think sweet Obi is the right fit for your home, click the “Adopt Me” button to submit an application here - https://adopt.adopets.com/pet/22778d7d-0e6d-4b14-854b-81803d412620
