My name is Sable!

Sable joined our family and farm in Illinois as a puppy at 8 weeks old. 09/08/2020
She is now 3 1/2 years old. (DOB 7/10/2020)
She is AKC registered and a beautiful, purebred Chesapeake Bay retriever. We think her zipper marking on her snout is especially charming!

Sable is a happy, loyal and energetic dog, who loves to play and snuggle. She is happiest when she has a job to do!
Unfortunately, due to a necessary move to Texas, we no longer have the space she needs to be truly fulfilled as hunting/work dog as her breed demands.
She is house trained and kennel trained, but has not been socialized with other dogs due to her being the only dog on our property. She is well socialized with children, and loves their company.
We are looking for an owner with a large backyard and ability to keep Sable active and happy, preferably someone who enjoys being out of doors to play and work with her often.
