My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dog Name: Perri

Birthdate: September 2022

Spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped

Perri's rescue story: Perri comes all the way from the streets of Kuwait. She was rescued as a puppy after someone tried to poison her. She was waiting in Kuwait for a year for a chance to come to WA. She is now in the PNW in a foster home and ready to find her forever home.

Good with dogs? Great with other dogs, especially other easy going dogs that can show her the way.

Good with kids? Haven’t encountered any kids yet but she’s so gentle, there shouldn’t be any issues.

Good with cats? She lets the cat take the lead and likes to give them their space. No issues so far.

Has experience on a leash? Yes, she loves going for walks and has been great on the leash!

Potty trained? She doesn’t quite know how to ask to go outside to go to the bathroom yet but she’s very good at doing her business once she’s outside.

Crate trained? She does great in the crate and happily takes naps there without making a sound.

Where does the dog stay when it is home alone? She stays in her crate.

Where does the dog sleep? In her crate.

When does the dog eat? She eats breakfast and dinner. She is pretty skinny so she’s been working on having a bigger appetite every day.

What does the dog eat? Dry dog food.

What does the dog's ideal home look like? A calm and quiet household that can offer her stability and warmth. She’s skittish around people and will be unsure about you if you come on too strong. She’s looking for gentle humans that will stick by her as she learns how to trust people again.

What are the dog's strengths? Loving you is her biggest strength! She’s so sweet and gentle and will stick right by your side for life. She’s quiet, great at walking and listening, and gets along really well with the dogs around her.

What is the dog still working on? What can they improve? She has so much love to give but is also still so fearful of people and needs someone who can take it slow and steady. She’s already coming out of her shell more and more. She now has spurts of energy whenever she feels more comfortable and loves to play with toys and do her zoomies.

If your foster were a celebrity, who would they be? Margot Robbie - a sweetheart through and through!

If your foster dog were on a dating site, what would their profile say? A gentle soul looking for someone who wants to spend quiet nights at home cuddling.

Beach or Mountains? Would love to sniff around both!

Squeaky/Bouncy/Chewy, what do they look for in a toy? The chewiest bone around!

Complete this sentence “My foster wishes they had a friend with whom they could…” share a cuddle on the couch!

What’s your foster’s favorite dessert? A bone to chomp on well into the night.
