This handsome little man is Victor, short for Victory! Victor and some other dogs recently came to us from a pretty tough situation. They had been left alone in a house for several weeks when their owner became too ill to care for them. Luckily, they ended up here with us at FDHS and have been getting some much needed TLC.

Victor is an older pup, we are guessing around 8 years old. Despite his age and the conditions in which he was living, he is great shape and has several more years of love left in him. Victor has not gotten the attention he deserves for quite some time and is pretty nervous when meeting new people. We have learned that a few french fries, patience, and some gentle coaxing goes a long ways with this guy. He has always lived with other dogs so we feel going to a home with another calmer dog would be the best fit for him.

Saving Victor and seeing the sparkle return in his eyes has been a very emotional experience for our staff members. We are confident he is going to find the perfect home and live a very fulfilling and beautiful life. We have promised Victor that never again will he be failed by humans.

Once an application is filled out for animal of interest, the adoption coordinator and director will review app.
*Vet reference- will call vet and verify you are a client
*Current pets- must be up to date on vaccinations
*If renting- will contact landlord to verify can have pets
Can take 1-3 days for approval or denial. Please be patient with us.
Animals are not first come, first serve. We work to find the best homes possible for not only the adopters, but our animals.
