My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Tigus, the sweetest 2-year-old pup whose loyalty will never cease! Weighing in at 63 lbs and with a possible mix of GSD and Lab, Tigus is the ultimate cuddle buddy with a charmingly shy side.

Though he may start off a bit reserved, once Tigus knows you, he's all in for affection, regularly seeking out pets and belly rubs with a wag of his tail that could brighten even the gloomiest of days. With a heart full of love and loyalty, Tigus is a people pleaser through and through, eager to listen and eager to please.

While he may take a bit of time to warm up to new faces, Tigus is a master of bonding, forming deep connections with those he trusts and loves. Tolerant and shy, he's the perfect companion for those looking for a gentle soul to share in life's adventures.

In need of a bit of leash work and confidence building, Tigus is on a journey of self-discovery, eager to embrace new experiences and conquer his fears with the support of his loving family. Though he may be shy around new dogs, once Tigus knows he can trust them, he's all in for companionship.

Living harmoniously with multiple cats, Tigus is proof that love knows no bounds, embracing his feline friends with open paws and a heart full of kindness. With his sensitive nature and unwavering loyalty, Tigus is the epitome of sweetness, a loyal companion who just wants to be loved.

Whether he's snuggled up on the couch or exploring the great outdoors, Tigus is happiest when he's by your side, spreading love and joy to all who have the pleasure of knowing him. Tigus is sure to bring endless laughter and warmth to any home lucky enough to call him family.

*WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health.
*To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs.

The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is one of the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone! Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption by properly vetting and providing individualized care through our incredible behavior program that consists of socialization and leash training for all animals that enter our adoption program, prior to matching them with loving families who will treasure them for the rest of their lives. They are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts once adopted, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be!

Three Little Pitties Rescue just celebrated our 5 year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 11,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be brought into our rescue program. Together, we can be heroes.
