My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Hello! My name is Zeus. I came to the Olive Branch as a young puppy several months ago. I was adopted into a wonderful, loving home with two senior cats. Eveything was going well until I discovered how much fun it was to chase the cats. Unfortunately, the cats didn't think it was fun to have a big active pup chasing them around all of the time and started to attack me.  So my owners thought it would be better for all of us if I came back to find a new home where everyone could live in harmony. I get along great with other dogs, it's just the cats that I can't seem to control myself around. My family is heartbroken over this decision. The following is their words about me: I am the most loving, rambunctious boy. Playtime is my favorite time. Well, except maybe dinnertime! I'm easy to get along with. I give the best slobbery kisses. I enjoy making sure my human's ears are very clean. I do get a little excited when meeting someone new. I jump for joy! I'm working hard on being redirected though. I'm getting better but still have some work to do. I am continuing to learn new tricks! Give me training treats, and 'll do just about anything you can think to teach me! I am eager to please. I can sit, stay, lay down, roll over, and respond to several other commands. Unless you're a cat, rabbit, or deer, I have no problem with you. I get along great and love to play with other dogs. I like kids too, but I'm a big boy. They're fragile things, so I need to be watched incase I get too hyper and rough. My previous humans love me and have made sure I got t to keep my indestructible bed and toys and a few other things. It's so fun, trying to eat doggy beds and tearing apart toys as quickly as possible. My record is about 30 seconds, so a BarkBox subscription really came in handy. I am proud to say that l even managed to rip through a few of those supposedly indestructible toys as well. Oh, and I love elk antlers. I can gnaw on them for hours and hours. I also have a set of electronic doorbells in my bag. It's how I let humans know I need to potty. Sometimes, I even push it to go outside and play. I'm very good at manipulation. A few more random things about me: I always use a breakaway collar, because I get a little wild. It's for my safety. If we go walking, I prefer to use a vest, so I don't choke myself. I am microchipped. I am known to have a somewhat sensitive stomach. Long car rides can be hard but much easier than they used to be; Dramamine is my friend. I am Neutered, Fully vaccinated, and Current on my preventatives. My combo test was all negative as well  I had a doggy DNA test. I'm a mix of 9 breeds —with the most prominent ones being American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, and Boxer. I've had a great start to life. If you are interested in adopting me please go to our website: olivebranchwv.org and fill out an application and would love to meet you soon!

Excitedly,
Zeus
