My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bio: Rebel is a very friendly cat-with adults, dogs, and possibly kittens. She’s not been tested around Children but she’s not afraid to let you know she doesn’t want to be touched when she’s in a mood. So older kids would be great!
Rebel is so clean and adaptable to various home lifestyles-even when you move furniture and her litterbox-She doesn’t miss a beat. She will talk to you a lot and LOVES catnip! She loves to be petted but not held or carried around.
Rebel would do better as an only cat or with dogs and kittens. She’s very confrontational to any cat she feels is a threat. If she is content and feels safe, Rebel is the perfect cat roommate. I cannot describe how easy she is to make happy and the pleasure of her company.
History: She was adopted by a young man when she was a kitten and returned due to no fault of her own. He couldn’t take care of her and pursue the career he wanted. He was heartbroken to part with her but knew we would find her a person/family to adore her for the queen she is!!!

More about this rescue

Friends of Rescue is a certified 501(c)(3) organization formed in 2009, consisting of volunteers who are devoted to saving shelter animals that are in danger of euthanasia. Southern shelters have a constant overflow of dogs and cats, little funding, and limited space. Once the animals arrive at the shelter, they have very little time. It is our goal to help save these adoptable animals and find loving individuals/families who will provide committed, FORever homes. We are NOT professional trainers or animal behaviorists; simply volunteers who are trying to save these animals from euthanasia. Each animal in our program is in a foster home and receives all age-appropriate vetting while in our care.
