My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Why have just one Chihuahua when you can have two?
Boba Fett and Shy Shy are ready for adoption!
Here is what we know about them......
They need each other. Shy Shy more so than Boba but they are definitely bonded. We know its a lot harder to adopt out bonded pairs but we will always do our very best to keep bonded pairs together.
So, if you happen to be looking for two cute Chihuahuas, Boba Fett and Shy Shy are ready to go!
Boba Fett loves attention and sitting on your lap. He has been in dog playgroups with all sized dogs but acts....Well, like a Chihuahua. 😉 He can be snappy and dominant with other dogs.
He sure loves Shy Shy though!
Boba Fett is approx. 1 yr old and weighs 10 lbs.
Shy Shy is true to her name. But she loves her snacks and will comes out of her shell quickly when she sees you have a tasty treat.
She is approx. 2 yrs old and weighs 8 lbs.
Both dogs have been fixed, vaccinated, heartworm tested and dewormed.
Their Ohio license is also included in their adoption fee.

Additional adoption info

There is an initial adoption application, followed by a meeting for approved applicants. If applying for a dog, we require other dogs who reside in the home to come to the shelter for a meet-n-greet as well. If all goes well, you sign a contract for adoption. All BCHS dogs and cats are spayed/neutered prior to adoption and are up to date on age-appropriate core vaccinations.

More about this shelter

We are a small rural shelter that works very hard to find homes or rescues for our dogs. We have a 97% save rate at our shelter which we are very pleased about. Our staff and volunteers work very hard for our dogs. We are always looking for volunteers to help us clean kennels, walk dogs, and just spend some time with the dogs. Donations are very important for our shelter, as we operate on donations.
We have some of the best dogs in Ohio and would love for them to find a new furever home with you!
