My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cynna is a register and TICA certified British Longhair. This is rather rare to have in the USA, so there's not even a category to list her! Her color is even more rare, "Cinnamon."  She is pictured here in full coat, but we will need to give her a lion cut and clean her up a bit.

Cynna was surrendered by her owner who brought her to NC from England. She moved in to a situation where there ended up being too many cats in the household and she had to give her up to maintain peace and harmony in the home. Cynna is a sweet girl, but not really a lap cat. She's the kind of cat that likes to be near you on her terms. She would  be fine with other cats, just not too many! She is currently in a foster home with older dogs, so we intend to acclimate her to this kind of household.

All Feline Matchmakers cats get age appropriate vaccinations, fixed, tested and microchipped prior to adoption. Please fill in our application via this link: http://www.felinematchmakers.org

We only adopt kittens and young cats out within a one hour radius of Wilmington, NC to those over 21 years old. Occasionally we make exceptions for adult cats, but we are not a transport company.

IF YOU DO NOT MEET THESE GUIDELINES, YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE REJECTED.

More about this rescue

Faith McNitt started Feline Matchmakers in January of 2020. We are a small organization that focuses on owner surrenders. The larger organizations focus on shelter pulls, so we feel this is the most needed service in Wilmington, NC. We also work TNR cases in small numbers. We are looking for fosters to build our organization. All fosters work on a charity basis, as we do not yet have the funding to pay for anything other than medical expenses. If interested in joining us to save cats from being euthenized or put in shelters, please contact us.
