This helps Malinois and Dutch Shepherd Rescue, Inc. with pet care costs.
Storm is recovering B-E-A-Utifully from her FHO surgery. She's properly eating her veggies to heal nice and strong and canNot Wait to go Full blast with her furrever hooman!
While still taking things "slowly" for proper recovery, Storm is working on her tug skills with the resident mali while laying down and continuing with lots of low-impact skills training. Storm is 1,000,000% food motivated and swear to goodness she'll learn anything for a treat-o. She's also crate trained and while doesn't have separation anxiety, Storm would love nothing more than to live inside her hooman's skin... err, I mean be right next to her hooman whenever possible. Storm is your "typical velco maligator" or "ride or die" and she Demands, err.. Asks.. that from her hooman too!
Having all this medical background on Storm now, she would even bet that she could learn to give someone CPR! Did I tell you how her foster mom was coughing on some crumbs and Storm totally saved her life placing her paw on her chest until her foster mom was back to normal?! Along with that, Storm is fearless! She has shown to be naturally environmentally sound having no issues going into new and crowded places and checking out all the new things, including all the boxes and nooks and crannies she can find. Service dog potential anyone!?
And to top it all off, Storm is an Absolute. Love! She wants nothing more than to be the apple of your eye because that's what her hooman is to her! Though with that she's learning to share the hooman attention with others, as when another dog is getting pets she currently can't help herself but to try to wiggle between them to remain in the spotlight. She's doing great learning these boundaries, but still wouldn't mind being your only doggo.
