My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Forest came to us pregnant from Mexico and delivered not soon afterwards. She was a very protective and loving mama to her puppies but she's ready to move from her puppies and find a forever home of her own. She is around 1.5 years old and is likely a mix of a lot of different breeds. We see Shepherd, Corgi, Terrier and Chihuahua in her with her short stature and pricked ears. She is a very sweet girl that loves her people. Her tail is always wagging. She is working on housetraining and walks nicely on leash. Forest loves her people so much, she would prefer not to share them with other dogs. She is doing better being around other dogs, but would likely be happiest as the only dog in the home and isn't interested in going to dog parks or being social with other dogs. She is all about her humans instead and loves to cuddle. If you think you are ready to add to your family by adopting Forest, then fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website today! We recommend completing the questionnaire and connecting with an adoption coach before looking for a dog or puppy you'd like to adopt. If you're already approved to adopt or if you've adopted from Labs and More before, connect with your adoption coach for the next steps. Your interest in adopting a rescued dog or puppy from Labs and More Rescue is appreciated! Please find our adoption information at www.labsandmore.org. Your adoption donation provides funding for Labs and More, a nonprofit organization which is supported solely by Volunteers and funded by donations. Good news is your adoption donation can be considered tax deductible. So much care is provided to your new dog prior to the adoption, including: spay and neuter, microchip, veterinarian visit(s), vaccinations, and other medical care as needed. Many of the dogs we rescue require extensive surgeries and care prior to adoption. Please understand we are unable to predict future behavior or medical needs of your adopted dog. We provide no guarantees regarding behavior, breed, or age of the dogs. Thank you for rescuing. Thank you for looking to Adopt a Labrador Retriever or other Mixed Breed Dog from California Labradors Retrievers and More Rescue. Please take a moment and go to www.labsandmore.org and click on Adopt to complete our online dog adoption application. If you have any questions email us at doginfo@labsandmore.org or call us at 858-273-5386. Thank you for looking to a rescue group to fulfill your dream of adding a new dog to your life! More about this rescue

Labs and More is one of the broadest rescues in Southern California. We are a Non Profit - Grassroots - Volunteer run Organization. We adopt to patient, kind and respectful families who partner with our Volunteers throughout the adoption process. Matching families with appropriate dogs is our priority so we strive to adopt to the family who best matches with the dog. This year our Volunteers celebrated the adoption of our 14,000th Dog. We rescue for need not for breed and search out dogs that without our help have no chance of getting adopted from shelters. This year alone over 300 dogs in our care will get needed surgery, life-saving treatment, or other major medical care. We take in hundreds of pregnant moms who will be able to deliver their puppies in the safety of a home and in loving arms. All our dogs and puppies are spayed or neutered prior to being adopted.

We cannot save them all but we will save all we can with support from generous supporters, people like YOU!
