Hi! My name is Everest and I am available for adoption.
I was brought in by a good Samaritan on March 8th, 2024.
Here`s a cool fact about my name: I`m named after Mount Everest. I`m the oddball here in the shelter as my Mountain is located in the Himalayans. It is currently the highest point on Earth at 29,035ft (8,850m). I don`t think I`m quiet ready for a climb like this one, but I`m all for the local trails all around Washington!
I weigh 70 lbs and am considered a `large breed` dog.
I`m a smart dog and have learned sit, down, & stay. I`m crate trained and know my name. Sometimes my energy gets the best of me and I can forget my manners. My foster sibling is teaching me how to be a couch potato and enjoy a good cuddle.
I love to play with my human and dog friends from fetch to tug to just plain old game of chase. I`ve been known to climb chainlink fences at the shelter but I have shown no interest in climbing the wood panel fences at my foster home.
Because I love to chase and have a high prey drive, I should stay away from small critters.
I am an adaptable dog who loves to go with the flow, but I`m also very spirited and fun-loving! I am outgoing and carefree, and I just can`t wait to find my forever home!
***April showers bring May flowers - and a lot of dogs at Regional Animal Services! Through May 31, you can `Pick Your Price` when you adopt an adult dog (six months or older). Adoption fees are $25, $50, $75, or $100, plus a pet license fee if applicable.***
