My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Carroll is a very sweet girl who bonds easily. She was great with young children. She is very playful and loves toys (especially balls)! She is extremely gentle when taking treats. She always wants to be next to one of her humans and is super affectionate! She knows how to sit and lay down on command and is house-trained. She didn't chew up anything she wasn't supposed to.

Caroll is very curious and watches everything that is going on. She was very interested in people food. We do think she would do best in a home without cats.

Carroll loves to cuddle and will crawl up in your lap every chance she gets. She loves to play but is super calm inside. She loves long naps when not playing. She is truly one of the sweetest girls. please let us know if you would like to schedule an appointment to meet her!

More about this shelter

The Tehama County Animal Care Center provides animal sheltering services for all of Tehama County, including the cities of Red Bluff and Corning. We house and care for stray dogs, surrendered cats, and various other species. Adopt a new pet here!

The Tehama County Animal Care Center is owned by Tehama County and operated by the Department of Agriculture, Division of Animal Services.

Our mission is to practice and promote compassionate care of all animals, both in our care and in the community we serve.

We strive to reunite lost animals with their owners and find forever homes for animals whose owners cannot be located. We work closely with several rescues to transfer some of our animals to other locations so they can find homes in other areas. We are extremely proud of our high rate live release rate and incredibly grateful to the organizations and volunteers who make it possible!
