My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

is a Courtesy Listing and is not housed at the Animal Shelter. Please note that the City of Bloomington Animal Care & Control accepts no responsibility for this pet. Potential adopters are responsible for communicating directly with the pet's guardian.
Starfire definitely prefers to be an only cat. She is grumpy when it comes to other animals. She has been around other cats and dogs and does not like them. She is great with kids and loves to cuddle. She is a grouch sometimes and won’t let you touch her, but most of the time she is great. She is a beggar and loves treats. I would suggest not leaving bread out because she will eat it. We love her so much but she does not like living with other animals.

Additional adoption info

Please come in and visit with our pets available for adoption. Once you find an animal you would like to adopt, you will be asked to fill out an adoption survey and meet with an adoption counselor. We do require landlord approval and we do not adopt out animals to live completely outside. Our adoption fees are $75 for dogs and cats under 5 years old and $55 for those 5 years and older.

More about this shelter

The shelter has very active volunteer and foster programs. Volunteers walk dogs and help with cat care. Fosters take young, shy and injured animals into their homes to prepare them for adoption. Learn more on our website and consider getting involved today!
