My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jeffersons Story:

Jefferson came to the SPCA as an unclaimed injured stray. He had shown up at a residence and was eating from a outdoor communal feeding station. He had been roaming around approximately a month when the caregiver had noticed that he seemed to have a severe left hind leg injury. She contacted the SPCA to see about getting him the help he needed.

Upon intake we quickly learned he was a very friendly senior (9yrs+). Upon exam he had a non weight bearing left hind leg. We scheduled X-rays with the vet to confirm the fracture. She confirmed he had a severely broken hind limb and that this injury was an older injury but definitely hindered his ability to get around and amputation would improve his quality of life. He had several other minor ailments and was quite underweight. On February 9th our SPCA vet performed the surgery to remove the limb that had hindered him for some time. He was also neutered and had some dental extractions done that day. We are now post op and happy to announce that Jefferson is doing well and improving daily and walking around. We are accepting applications on this handsome fella and hope to send him to a loving home.

Jefferson is extremely laidback, sweet and easy going. He does have a playful side and will play with feather toys!
