My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ash is the sweetest, friendliest, happiest guy! While initially nervous, once given about 15 minutes to warm up, he will be your best friend!

Ash is believed to be a Chihuahua / Dachshund mix. (He's got a long body!)
Ash is 1 year old, and just 10 lbs.

Ash is a beautiful baby with such a kind heart who never got a fair deal in life. He was found in the middle of nowhere at an oilfield site in New Mexico, and we're unsure how long he had to fend for himself.
Ash was then brought into a small shelter, and from there he transported to Colorado where he is now safe with one of our fosters.

Ash's foster mom has the following to say about sweet boy:

** "This sweet boy was a tad nervous at first, but it has just warmed my heart seeing him come out of his shell so much!! He is not nervous at all anymore! He loves meeting people and his favorite thing to do is watch Animal Planet.. He makes sure to tell me all about the buffalos that he sees on the TV and it's so silly and adorable!

He is potty-trained, knows “come” and “sit,” sleeps in his crate at night, loves to go on walks, and is a very good dog. He’s quiet and rarely barks (except while watching Animal Planet on the TV).

He loves going on walks, playing in the yard, and watching TV. Ash absolutely loves toys, and even plays with his dental chews before sitting down to eat them. He is a very fun loving boy! **

We envision Ash with an active, dog-crazy retired couple or individual. This age group often spends lots of fun time interacting with and loving on their pets. Ash would be thrilled with this! A younger family that works from a home-based office would be perfect as well. We feel that Ash is too sensitive a guy to be left alone for the long hours of full-time employment outside of the home.

Ash is available for adoption now. If interested in this very loving and devoted best friend and awesome lap dog, please fill out a Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Applications can be found at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/. If interested, please fill out completely and submit.

**PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting Ash, please be sure to submit the Farfel's Rescue adoption application that can be found at the link above or at farfels.com.
