Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We thought it was love + loss when we first met Wednesday. The moment we saw her at County we fell head-over-heels in love. Her resemblance to our beloved sanctuary dog, Squid, was uncanny! It was like looking at Squids face except on a large breed, female dog! She had an “adopted” sign next to her name so with a little relief that she had found her forever home, and with a little sadness, we said goodbye to our new friend. A few weeks later we were back at county when this sweet face once again caught our eye. She was back! We quickly found out that this sweet girl was dumped like trash in a Safeway parking lot by the “family that adopter her”. As if she was disposable + they couldn’t be inconvenienced enough to make the drive back to the shelter. Well, she was and continues to be, everything to us! This young, Shar Pei mix lights up every room that she walks into. She is full of life + joy. Being such a young and high energy breed, we felt it was important that Wednesday attend board and train to set her and her future family up for success. We truly believe investing in our animals mental health is just as important as their physical and we are extremely excited to watch her continue to blossom. We are so honored to be helping Wednesday find her forever home. She deserves the fairytale ending and we’re going to make sure she gets it! If that sounds like with you and you are interested in adopting or learning more about Wednesday, please submit an adoption application through our website at skysanctuaryrescue.org/applications. Once this application is submitted, we will happily answer any questions you might have and set up a meet and greet.
