Just shy of her first birthday, Lola is still a puppy and playful but generally calm. We believe she is a German shepherd mix, although she is quite petite, weighing only around 40 pounds. She’s a pro on a leash and isn’t reactive to other dogs or humans. On a day trip, she observed the volunteer’s cats and showed potential to have a cat sibling. When Lola first arrived at the shelter, she was completely terrified. She would often cower in her kennel and had a hard time trusting people. After some TLC from staff and volunteers, we’ve learned that this little lady is full of love and energy. On a day trip with a volunteer, we learned that she really is just a pup who enjoys playing fetch, belly rubs and zooming around the yard. Her demeanor completely changed from being shy to giving kisses, hugs, and wanting to be around her person. While at the shelter, Lola may still appear shy but in a safe and understanding home, she will open up and make a fantastic companion. Will you take a chance on her and be her forever person? Stop by the shelter during walk in hours on Friday or Saturday, or make an appointment online. |
All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered.
