My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Let me introduce myself, I’m Crater.
I am a 9 month old pit mix. I still need a neuter, but I’ll get one as soon as I get my weight back up. I was surrendered to Marion County Dog Shelter in bad shape.
Then, one day a lady and a big fluffy dog came and took me away.
I am staying with them for now, I have my own room there.
I like my crate, I sleep there, I eat in there and sometimes I stay in there when everyone is gone. They feed me a lot and often.
At their house I have learned to go potty outside. I’ve learned sit and come. I am still young and kind of rude, but I’m working on my manners. I need all the love, but I share too, no aggression at all. I have been around cats, they seem ok and some bunnies. I haven’t chased either of them.
I love to be with my people. I like to try and get on the couch and lay on folks.
I have a crazy bowl, its a slow feeder, so I don’t eat too fast. It’s fun.
I like my new chew toys and I LOVE treats. I will do anything for them. I do go on walks but not often, because of my weight issues. I am learning how to walk on a leash. I take baths but they are kind of scary for me.
I am looking for a family. They should be patient and active. I think older kids would be best, because I’m still working on manners. They would need to understand I get so excited to get food. My tail goes a mile a minute, I can’t help it. If you think you are ready for a puppy in transition and want to give me a forever home. Apply at www.Hopeshavenfriends.org
