My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Handsome cutie patootie Everett aka Tonka is a winner. He's a lovely dog - healthy, approx. 1.5 years old, 55lbs, crate trained, walks well on leash, does well with other dogs and is friendly meeting new people. Everett rides well in the car and even lives with a child and enjoys her company. Everett is currently available through Contra Costa Animal Services, so please fill out their app and use animal ID A1009795: https://www.contracosta.ca.gov/FormCenter/Animal-Services-17/Available-Dogs-in-Shelter-Adoption-Appli-318

Or call  925-608-8400 for more information about my medical and behavior history.

Everett participated in lots of playgroups with other dogs before he went into his foster home, so he could live with another well match doggie friend.

More about this rescue

California Pit Bull Rescue (CPR) is a 501(c)3, organized for the purpose of rescuing at risk "pit bull" type dogs and facilitating social change to abolish the abuse, over breeding and mis-education surrounding the breed. CPR will achieve these goals through a fostering network, fundraising programs, educational initiatives and financial/physical support for needy guardians of pit bull type dogs.
